I know it has been a while and I apologize. No excuses, just life in general. I have a few sculpts in the works and am starting on an illustration series. When I say starting, I mean just today! LOL My eldest son just finished kindergarten...eeeeek! My middle son is who I call "The Instigator" and my youngest is just blossoming into a big boy right before our eyes. All in all they are a great time but it seems like I blink and the time has gone by!
I thought that I would post a custom work I did for one of my best friends. This is her daughter Katie, who...let's face it, is one of the cutest girls on the planet! I couldn't help but draw her and I'm not too thrilled how it turned out so I think at some point I will be drawing her again but for the moment this is what I have. My friend says she is happy with it and that means a lot to me seeing as I think she would be the type to tell me if she thought it was crap! LOL
I am my worst critic but I also KNOW when I can do better.

Hi Amy,
Thanks for leaving the nice comment on my blog. It's just fine with me if you want to put me on your favorites. I'll do like wise for you. Nice to meet you.

Oh. I forgot my manners. I think the illustration of your friend's daughter is very nice.

i thought of you yesterday as we took a quick trip out that way to the mall. We rarely travel that far for shopping, but Eli was in search of Pittsburgh Penguin bathing trunks and that's the only place that had them. So now he's happy.
Anyway, I think your drawing is quite lovely. :)

She's beautiful! Can't believe your not happy with her!! I think you've captured her likeness so well! I can understand why your friend is pleased with it, it's gorgeous!! I know how hard it is to see your drawings how others see it, but take it from me your work is precious, and delicate, and very special! :)
Oh the custom illustration is gorgeous! You done so well! I love doing custom work myself, especially working from children's photographs!
I do relate to you with your children! My oldest two are going to "college" here in France in September, and it is almost like losing them, and they are only 11 and 12. Also my twin is starting school, too! *argh* I will have an empty nest. ((does not know what to do with herself!))
Wanted to pop by and say hi!! Hope you and yours are enjoying a fabulous Summer!!
We however, have melted.... :)
